Terminal Bilbao Airport

Bilbao Airport has a single passenger terminal which was inaugurated in 2000 and was designed by the recognized Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

 

It is known as “La Paloma” (The Dove) for its shape, which reminds a bird.

 

 

Levels

The terminal consists in three different levels (Level 0, 1, 2 and 3):

 

- Ground Level: Arrivals and Baggage claim area, which are split into the Schengen and non-Schengen flights. Services: Information offices, hotel reservation offices.

Above the baggage claim area there is a viewing gallery with views to the ground level.

 

- Level 1: Boarding Gates (7 to 12).

 

- Level 2: Boarding Gates (1 to 6). From this area it is possible to access to both mezzanine and ground level remote boarding lounges.

- Level 3: Ticketing counters, check-in desks, retail shops and restaurants.

The terminal has 36 check-in desks, 12 boarding gates, 6 fingers and has a new Control Tower.

Airport Lounges

Bilbao Airport Terminal hosts a single lounge, the Bilbao Airport VIP Lounge. Location: Level 2, boarding area.

 

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 05:30 am to 09:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday: 06:00 am to 09:30 pm.

 

Please, bear in mind that due to the lounge has reached its full capacity, tickets are temporarily out of sale.
